Michelle Wood (cello)

| Michelle is a Core Player with Australia Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra. She is an experienced chamber musician, having toured Asia and Australia with the Young Piano Trio of Melbourne in 2002, before becoming cellist of the of the TinAlley String Quartet, winner of the Banff International String Quartet Competition, 2007.
Michelle completed a Master of Music Performance at the University of Melbourne, studying with Christian Wojtowicz. She has performed with ensembles including Orchestra Victoria, Australian Youth Orchestra and the Australian Pops’ Orchestra.
Michelle was awarded the Gwen Prokter Violoncello Prize in 2003, and in 2004, was one of only four Postgraduate Music students who received an Australian Postgraduate Award.
